PRESENTATIONS

In The Community

Richard is engaged in a number of Community Fundraising events and has been hosting Award Ceremonies most recently at Gloucester Cathedral where he delivered a motivational presentation for Gloucestershire Social Services at their presentation of academic and vocational awards. Earlier in the year he hosted the Redditch Borough Councils ‘Local Hero Awards' which provided an opportunity to honour the achievements of ordinary local people making an extraordinary contribution to their community.

Richard has fulfilled a number of fund raising events for charities and other organisations and can give extensive advice on how to organise such events not only to be highly successful but to turn a handsome profit for the organisation in question. Richard said:

“ In the past I coordinated national projects with a multitude of fund raising events carried out at local level raising a total of £4.5million over 6 years. A further £20,000 came in for St Richard's Hospice, Richard's nominated charity for the row.(www.strichards.org.uk)

I have a great deal of experience enabling me to advise local people how to maximise the potential of a fundraising event. To offer a unique presentation like mine that is well publicised alongside an attractive event like a meal or finger buffet has already proved highly successful in a number of settings. Such events need a little more long term planning but the rewards (not just financial) can be great. For example at a recent event after my fee and the costs of the event had been deducted there was still a handsome profit of about £1000 to be donated to the charity in question. This was held in a rural village location”
