About Joe:
He is a highly committed university rower, entering his final year of Engineering. He has a background in basic navigation and survival through his time in the Royal Naval Reserves and Duke of Edinburgh awards. He has been rowing at high performance level for the last 3 years and has undertaken considerable strength and endurance development from this experience.
He helped to fund and run a large university club and has experience in obtaining sponsorship and fundraising. (In 2006 raised £60K out of university alumni to fund a professional rowing coach for 2 more years)
Joe said: “I have shown that although not the most talented person in many fields I do stick things out. I was weakest in my 1st year rowing squad and have since risen to be a regular feature in the top of Newcastle rowing.”
